ABOUT
Skatepark Kraaiennest DIY was initiated and built by skaters from the neighborhood and has been in use since 2018. It has become a welcoming place for skilled skateboarders to have fun, and it introduces kids and young people to skateboarding. People from the neighborhood and an increasing number of skaters from farther away are discovering the park. Additionally, the park is easily accessible by foot, bike, metro, or bus from Kraaiennest station.
Construction 2023
Vinger.nl and Skatepark Kraaiennest DIY are the driving forces behind skateboarding in the K-buurt, both in terms of sport and culture. Pieter Glas, a skateboarder and resident of the K-buurt, initiated the project and opened Skatepark Kraaiennest DIY on the sports field in 2018. It was built with the help of a larger group of skaters and local residents from Zuidoost. Since then, the park has been expanded multiple times and is suitable for both beginners and experienced skaters. Jeffrey Croese of the creative studio Vinger.nl in Kruitberg has been involved as one of the supporting partners of the skatepark since the beginning.
